 The 21st Century is emerging as a technologically rich era and technology is affecting various parts of human life. The school education which is an important part of human life also gets affected due to this incumbent technology. The children of this age spend a lot of time in schools and the present day schools have been equipped with ICT equipments. However, the theoretical claims of various govt agencies have to be ascertained by conducting empirical research in a particular area. Therefore, the investigators have taken up a study to know the Availability of ICT in the schools of Telangana State. This is quite an essential study in the formational stage of Telangana state, which is spreading its firm roots in economic, social, educational and other aspects.   Abstract The teacher education programmes have come a long way and the drastic change has been seen, when teacher education regulations 2014 came into force. This has brought into newer areas in which student-teachers and their teacher-educators have to be trained. This training is possible by providing up-to-date information in the form of OER, where OER are openly available to all the stakeholders. The OER sources help teachers to create content, share the same among their peer group, add different multi-media aspects. Hence, new vistas and avenues are created in sharing of academic aspects. The extent of use of OER has been different in different parts of the globe, and as an example attempt could be made to compare the Asian Countries, where it is being used.                  تعلیم کا ذکر چھڑتے ہی ہمارے ذہن میں اسکول کا ایک نقشہ کھینچتا ہے جس میں ممکن ہے ایک خوبصورت سی عمارت، بہت سارے کلاسس، گھومتے پھرتے بچے، کھیل کا میدان، پڑھاتے وقت نگرانی کرتے ٹیچر، تختئہ سیاہ، بہت سارے نقشہ جات، چارٹس، جگہ جگہ لکھی گئی مختصر سی عبارتیں، غرض یہ کہ ایک منظم ماحول تصور کا حصّہ بنتا ہے۔ اس لحاظ سے جب میں نے تعلیم کا مطلب دوبارہ تلاش کیا تو پتہ چلا کہ تعلیم ایک ایسا عمل ہے جس میں اسکول یا کالج کی سطح پر با سلیقہ ہدایات دی اور لی جاتی ہیں اور کل ملا کر یہ طلبہ کو روشناس کرنے والا ایک عمل ہے۔ لیکن یہ روشناس کرنے والا عمل زندگی بھر جاری رہنا چاہیے، اس لئے تعلیم کو گہوارے سے لے کر گور تک جاری رکھنے والے عمل کے طور پر بھی دیکھاجاتا ہے۔ مختلف دانشوروں نے تعلیم کو اپنے ہی طور پر پیش کیا ہے، مثال کے طور پر گاندھی جی چاہتے تھے کے کوئی شخص چھوٹا ہو یا بڑا، اس میں نظر آنے والی ساری خوبیاں اجاگر ہونی چاہیے۔ انکے مطابق تعلیم کا مطلب، "بچے اور بڑے کے جسم، ذہن اور روح کو مکمل طور پر پروان چڑھانا ہے"۔ جان ڈیوے نے تعلیمی عمل سے و...
